I had a similar issue with my Canon MG 7150, first used Apple's preinstalled drivers but found that I didn't have option for printing direct to Cd - then installed Canon's (as advised by the manufacture) but still no Cd printing - it was only when I saw the two options appear under 'Use' that I realised I could select between the two drivers.


Why Apple's appears not to offer full functionality in there driver I'm not sure (maybe it's a market region thing), and I think I've read somewhere they don't recommend installing third party drivers as well - but my issue left me with no option so I installed Canon's and was back up and working again.

Not sure what Bonjour offers over selecting Canon's for just Printing, but if you also have the Scanner option this might help - I've sort of combined the two by first selecting Bonjour under 'Kind' then clicking the arrows on 'Use' to change from 'AirPrint' back to 'Canon MG7100 series'.

That allows me to use Canon's drivers for printing but still keep the 'Scan' option under 'Printers & Scanners' which wouldn't appear otherwise.

If you now have everything working that you require I wouldn't bother changing, but it's something you can do if Bonjour offers some functionality you require in the future - also you only require the one version of your printer (the latest you've just added) appearing under 'Printers' so you can delete any others if desired.
