Okay, after Google announced that Google Reader going to die, I migrated to Feedly . In the beginning, it was fine (and now too). But nowadays it seems like it’s missing many of my RSS feeds.

For example I have Softpedia RSS and it misses 30 to 40% of my feeds over time. Whats the problem? Or is my Internet sucking?

What are the good alternatives to Feedly, with Android application?

  2. I ve checked this out . but unfortunately its a trial . it gives source codes for self hosting . but I am not having enough time for setting up these things and messing up with some python codes .
    any way Thanks for suggestion . I like the reader . will go for pro version if have some bucks .! :)

  3. I personally use Tiny Tiny RSS, it's self hosted, easy to use, and very simple - a lot like Google Reader was. I've just finished writing an article about it, so keep your eyes peeled on the homepage. :)

    • What you mean by self hosted .?
      Running on localhost or in website ??
      if it runs on localhost . it loads up fastly . but it downloads the webpages (or xml) that I have subscribed to . so it will need so much bandwidth and , really not suitable for my low speed 40 Kbps internet connecting to Lap through Android tethering ! :(

      I cannot find any other place to submit this bug to the developer, so I can only submit it here, hope the developer can see it and solve it ASAP. Wechat for mac os x. But if there was another color profile had been specified to screen in system display settings, then no image can be sent out. When screen color profile is at default (Color LCD), everything works fine. NFSKing, Cannot send images when specified a color profile for screenThis bug bothered me a very long time, and recently I found the reason.

    • Self-hosted means you host it yourself. Whether it be on localhost or on a hosted web server (I'd recommend the latter). You can also pay for a hosted instance of Tiny Tiny RSS which is only like $0.49 a month for 50 feeds. Very cheap indeed.

    InoReader (http://www.inoreader.com) is not there by accident. It just has everything Google Reader once had and much much more. It's faster than Feedly to refresh nearly every feed has free search. I'm using it for 3 months now and it didn't failed once. I just wonder what people find in Feedly..
