Microsoft has issued a support note for Office users, saying that Office 2011 for Mac will not be supported if you upgrade to macOS 10.13, which is better known as High Sierra. Graphviz for mac sierra.

Given the age of Office 2011, it’s not a big surprise but many people have hung on to the older version as they prefer it. As Office has been updated over the last few years, features have been deprecated and the UI has been revised.

If you don’t fancy spending money on an upgrade then you could look at Apple’s alternatives; Pages, Numbers and Keynote. They’re pretty good but I find their inability to save directly in Microsoft’s formats a pain. The export process makes moving docs back and forth a real chore.
