Hide a user account in the macOS login window

1. Log in as an admin user.

  • Postgres.app is a full-featured PostgreSQL installation packaged as a standard Mac app. It includes everything you need to get started: we’ve even included popular extensions like PostGIS for geo data and plv8 for JavaScript.

If you want, you can delete the IsHidden attribute instead.

Hide the home directory and share point

You can move the hidden user's home directory to a place that's not visible from the Finder. And you can remove the hidden user's Public Folder share point.

Double-click the downloaded file to open a window showing its contents. Then double-click the file within, named InstallOS.pkg.

Begin installation

After installation of the installer is complete, open the Applications folder on your Mac, then double-click the file named Install macOS Sierra.

Click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions. You might find it easiest to begin installation in the evening so that it can complete overnight, if needed.
