UNetbootin for Mac allows you to create bootable Live USB drives for Ubuntu and other Linux distributions without burning a CD. You can either let UNetbootin download one of the many distributions supported out-of-the-box for you, or supply your own Linux .iso file.
UNetbootin for macOS can create a bootable Live USB drive. It loads distributions either by downloading an ISO (CD image) files for you or by using an ISO file you've already downloaded.
Select an ISO file or a distribution to download, select a target drive (USB Drive or Hard Disk), then reboot once done. If your USB drive doesn't show up, reformat it as FAT32.
If you used the 'USB Drive' install mode: After rebooting, boot from the USB drive. On Macs, this usually involves pressing a button such as Esc or F12 immediately after you turn on your computer, while on Macs, you should hold the Option key before OSX boots.
If you used the 'Hard Disk' install mode: After rebooting, select the entry from the Mac Boot Menu. Download and run UNetbootin, then select the 'disk image' option and supply it with an ISO (CD image).

It's very unlikely this would work beyond just getting you a universally bootable system. It's likely that some of the Mac OS X Server-specific components would be broken, and you wouldn't be able to (easily) update to, for example, Mac OS X Server 10.4.6 when it comes out (whereas you could use the Intel client updates on a non-Server installation, since all of the Intel updates are universal). Oct 04, 2011  I upgrade Mac OS X 10.4.7; to 10.4.11. On my machine both OS works fine. But now I want to uninstall Win XP. How should I uninstall it, because my Mac OS Install Disk 1 does not have boocamp.pkg and my Applications/Utilities does not contain bootcamp assistant program. BootCamp1.3.dmg is not able mount on my mac os 10.4.11.

I was excited to read the linked article, but each micro-step of the process requires a full page load. I understand that sites generate revenue via advertisements, but there comes a point when the amount-of-information-provided vs number-of-page-loads becomes unacceptable and condescending. It is not possible to load the printable version of the article without registering with the site, so I see no method of gleaning the knowledge contained within the article in a less obnoxious fashion other than to skip to the author's list of references on the final page, which is what I intend to do.

This is an excellent hint; as Kirk mentions, it's a good weekend project for those who want to do it 'just because' they can. It's always neat when people discover how to implement Mac OS X Server functionality with the standard version.
But on the other hand, anyone who is going to implement a NetBoot lab (a school, university, etc.) is probably going to have the funds to get an XServe or two (or a few dozen) and implement it the easy way--via the GUI tools in OS X Server. I don't see anyone NetBooting on their home LAN for any practical reason.
